On 30 December 2010 during background measurements in MA-Middle Atmosphere Mode,
few MIPAS scans have been commanded into the special sideways AE–Aircraft Emission Mode.
The operational processor IPF version 5.05 was not able to distinguish between
two different special modes, and assigned a wrong number of sweeps per scan.
In the daily report, such measurements were erroneously flagged in yellow as "NLC-NoctiLucent Clouds Mode".
The corrective action has been to reprocess the L1b products with the new IPF MIPAS/5.06.
The new output is shown below:
